You Are Holy

My Testimony (part 3 of 4)

After learning about God's own signature upon Jerusalem, I started to wonder about us, His people.  If a piece of land was important enough to place His name upon, I wondered if we, whom He formed, would also bear His name.  My spirit was so curious and there was such a prompting to find the answer, but alas, I am not a theologian and at the time I was computer illiterate. The Lord kept calling me to search for the answer, so I searched the scriptures.  I could not find the answer I was looking for but I now know that the Lord was withholding them until the right moment because my search would have ended and scripture was not what He wanted me to find.

What I knew for sure:
  1. It wasn't an accident that the Shin ש (the symbol for God's name; El-Shaddai meaning God Almighty) was placed on this piece of land, Jerusalem; God ordained it.  1 Kings 11:36 (NIV) I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.
  2. We, also, are not an accident; He ordained our existence.  Isaiah 43:7 (KJV) Even every one that is called by my name:  for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
The Lord placed such restlessness within me, as if I was missing something of great value and I had to find it.  One day while showering, the Lord placed the thought in my mind, "the heart".  I began to think about salvation; we ask Jesus into our 'hearts'.  The heart is our core; it's where our feelings figuratively lie.  We say things like, "My heart is filled with joy", or "You broke my heart", and one of my favorites, "I love you with all my heart".  I wondered if this was where the Lord had written His name.  I had no idea how to search the internet so I turned to my handy dandy encyclopedia.  And there, to my amazement, was His signature!  I wanted to make sure it wasn't just my imagination so I stayed calm and asked my husband to look at my findings.  It took all my strength to refrain from shouting out with joy, not yet anyway.  He studied it for a moment, gave me a curious look then said, "I think you've got something there".  Yahoo!!

This is what El-Shaddai said to me, "You are because I Am".

Jeremiah 15:16 (NIV) When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear you name, O LORD God Almighty.

Just as God chose Jerusalem to sign His name, He also chose to create you and me and write His name upon us.  Whether we chose to follow Him or not we are all God's children, He signed His name on every one of us.  If we choose to follow Him we will live with Him in the New Jerusalem worshiping him along with the angels singing, "Hosanna, Hosanna, Hosanna in the Highest."

Imagine the sweet aroma of the Lord Almighty filling each nostril as He enters the temple in His royal robes.   His majestic train, in colors no human eye has seen, fills the room.  The walls and pillars tremble and you feel a rumble in your chest as all of creation sings in one accord, "...Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:3.  He passes each person on bended knee; your breathing becomes faster as you sense the King's presence.  In your reverent bow you hear his footsteps coming closer.  His robes brush across your body, He pauses in front of you, when you hear Him say, "I have written My name upon you; breathe in My breath for I Am in your presence."

Ezekiel 10:4-5 Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple.  The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the Lord.  The sound of the wings of the cherubim could be heard as far away as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when he speaks.

If you would like to be in His presence and savor His breath then please take a moment to ask Him into your heart.  There is a prayer at the bottom of the page in case you need a little help getting started.  I love you and hope to see each of you on that glorious day!!

Chris Tomlin How Great is Our God Worship Video with Lyrics

My Testimony (part 2 of 4)

While attending a Bible study I learned about the Shin.  This prompted within my spirit a curiosity that caused me to do some deeper investigation.  The shin ש is an amazing little mark that represents a letter in the Hebrew alphabet.  God chose this little mark, out of all the letters in the Hebrew alphabet, to be used in a mighty way.  It represents one of the names of God; El-Shaddai meaning God Almighty.  Where ever it is written in our Bibles 'God Almighty', it is referring to El-Shaddai.

God also decided to use the Shin ש, this small humble marking, to carve His name into His chosen city, Jerusalem.  1 Kings 11:36 (NIV) I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.  This scripture is not figuratively speaking but literal.  On the map below, follow the valleys, shaded in gray, to see God's signature upon Jerusalem:

 The Shin:  ש

Although I found this to be a huge revelation, it is a known fact though out all Israel.  The Shin ש over Jerusalem is formed by the three valleys that run through it, the Hinnom (on the left), the Tyropoeon (down the middle), and the Kidron (on the right).  Amos 4:12-13 (NIV) He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth -  the LORD God Almighty is his name.  It is only El-Shaddai, God Almighty, who can do such amazing wonders.  He is an almighty, all powerful, unlimited-authority, omnipotent God.  No words come close to describing His infinite wonder.

Curiosity still lingered within my spirit:  God Chose the Shin to represent His name, El-Shaddai, and He chose Jerusalem to write this name upon.  So if we are called by His name and He has formed us, would He sign His name upon us?   Isaiah 43:7 (KJV) Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Next Week I'll share what He revealed to me.

Please feel free to e-mail if you are having difficulty seeing the Shin on the map.  I would be more than happy to help you!  fwmade.blog@gmail.com

Throughout Psalm 119 the letters of the Hebrew alphabet are listed.  the Shin is posted at 119:161.

Matthew West - More

My Testimony (part 1 of 4)

During a worship service at a Bible study, I was praying, "Lord, I want to feel your presence, let me breathe in Your breath". As I was praying this prayer with every fiber of my being, a lady standing close behind me began to speak very loudly in her prayer language. We were all crowded around the altar but this lady was standing exceptionally close; so close that I could feel the words she was praying on the back of my neck. My first thought, fleshy - I must admit, was 'lady... back it up a step or two'. Immediately I felt convicted; If I was deep in worship then this lady was REALLY in deep. It was very difficult to ignore her loud prayer which lasted at least 45 seconds. When she was done she was out of breath, as if she had just run 10 miles. I didn't turn around but I could hear her reaching for a pew, trying to sit down from this experience that had just stolen every ounce of her energy. Just then, the Bible study leader went up to the front to translate what the lady behind me had just prayed. She said, "This is what the Lord says, 'I am in your presence and you are breathing in My breath.'"

I almost fell to my knees as the tears streamed down my face. I knew He was speaking directly to me because those were the very words that I was praying and no one but the Lord God Almighty could hear me. The Lord had used the lady behind me to get my attention and then spoke to me. Me? I, many times, feel so little. Like a speck in the sand, not a grain of sand but a speck among the grains. That day - He spoke to me! At that moment I began to breathe in deeply as I wrapped myself in His presence. I spent the rest of the day in awe, thanking the Lord for His tender mercy and love. Whenever I think back on that day I'm still brought to tears because He took the time to personally show me His love.

This was just one of many moments that the Lord Almighty revealed his awesome, never ending, all consuming greatness, mercy, and love to me. If you're feeling small and insignificant in this huge world remember: He IS in your presence and you ARE breathing in His breath. Breathe in deep and feel the warmth of His breath upon you, He wants to reveal Himself to you. The God who created the heavens and the earth also created you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Genesis 1:27 (NIV) So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
