His Name Is Written On Our Hearts

I posted this awhile back and felt as though the Lord wanted me to re-post in honor of Resurrection Sunday.  Back then it took 3 blogs to tell you what I'm about to share.  Guess I was being a little "wordy". This time I'm getting right to the point:
Many years ago I learned that God literally carved His name into His chosen city, Jerusalem, with a shin ש.  A shin is a letter in the Hebrew alphabet that also represents one of the names of God; El-Shaddai meaning God Almighty.  The Shin ש over Jerusalem is formed by the three valleys that run through it, the Hinnom (on the left), the Tyropoeon (down the middle), and the Kidron (on the right).

1 Kings 11:36 (NIV) I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.

I was so amazed and awestruck at this revelation and wondered if I also had His name written on me.  If a piece of land carried His name then wouldn't I, whom He formed, also bear his name?  I began to think about my salvation; I asked Jesus into my 'heart', and my heart is the core where my feelings figuratively live. I wondered, if the Lord "did" decide to write His name on me, could it possibly be on my heart. After much praying and searching I found it! His name is LITERALLY written on my heart.  The same shin ש signature He used to carve upon Jerusalem is also written upon me! After this amazing revelation the Lord said to me, "You are because I AM."

Jeremiah 15:16 (NIV) When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear you name, O LORD God Almighty.

Whether we chose to follow Him or not we are all God's creation.  He signed His name on every one of us.  If we choose to follow, we will live with Him in the New Jerusalem worshiping along with the angels singing, "...Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." Isaiah 6:3.

One day as I was praying I imagined The Lord Almighty entering the temple in His royal robes and majestic train. A sweet aroma filling every corner of my mind. The walls and pillars trembled and I felt a rumble in my chest as I heard all of creation singing, "You are Holy... Oh, so Holy... You are Holy Lord of all."  I  was on my knees and my breathing got faster as I sensed the King's presence getting closer.  I heard His footsteps next to me and His robes brushed against my body.  He said to me, "I am in your presence; you are breathing in My breath."

These are the things the Lord has revealed to me and these are the words He has spoken. I keep the tucked in my 'heart'.

He who has ears, let him hear.

Have a wonderful resurrection day!

My Friend HAD Cancer - Update #7

It's been a couple of months since my last update on Tasha's condition so here is a brief summary before I get you up to speed:
Early last year Tasha found a lump on the right side of her neck. She had it checked by her doctor who found it to be cancerous. The doctor sent her to a specialist who also confirmed that it was for sure cancer. Tasha had a total of six tests all confirming the original test -Thyroid Cancer.  In October she had surgery to remove the right side of her thyroid. The surgeon said he would decide if she needed the entire thyroid removed after he "opened her up" and took a biopsy.  We were amazed at the power of our Lord when the results came back saying the mass which had been diagnose SIX (6) times as cancer was now benign! She had the right side of her thyroid removed but, according to the surgeon, would not need any further surgeries, chemo, or medications. That day was a victorious day in The Lord. We were (and still are) so thankful to The Lord!

Here's the update:
A few weeks after the surgery Tasha went in for her "after surgery" check-up. The surgeon sat her down in his office to break some news to her.  He explained to her that, even though the tests came back as benign, upon further testing they concluded that there was a 99.9% chance of her getting cancer on the left side of her thyroid.  She would need to undergo another surgery to have it removed and this time would require radioactive iodine (a type of radiation that targets any left over thyroid). Also, she would need to take medication for the rest of her life since she would no longer have a thyroid.

I'm not gonna lie... this definitely took us by surprise but did NOT shake our faith. We stand on the His Word and know that she IS healed! However The Lord decides to heal her is His business... I'm just gonna keep on praying , hoping, and believing in Him. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)  Many young people have been touched as Tasha has shared her testimony and I have no doubt that The Lord will use this testimony to help many more hurting hearts.

All of you, I'm sure, are super busy with plates over-flowing but we would really appreciate it if y'all would join us in praying for Tasha.  Her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at 10am. I'll keep you guys posted on her progress though-out the day.

XOXO
